Some Team Members behind the A&E
The Emergency department performance is too important to the community, and to the hospital, to be ignored. People depend upon the emergency department when they are most vulnerable, and their experiences in the Emergency Department are a crucial factor in determining patient and community satisfaction with the Hospital and in shaping its reputation.

Our Vision is
To be the preferred centre for Emergency and Trauma Care provision and Training in Rwanda

Our Mission
We, at the A&E department of King Faisal Hospital, Kigali are committed to providing Cost-effective, high quality Emergency and Trauma care in collaboration with other departments in the Hospital and our clients. We do this with an empowered workforce in an environment that values professionalism respects patients’ rights and upholds human dignity at all times. Within available resources we contribute to the development of Emergency and Trauma Services, Research and Training in Emergency and Trauma care.

You will find the Accident and Emergency Department of KFH, K on the ground floor of the hospital to the left side as one drives into the Hospital. The department is open 24 hours, 7 days each week and has the services of laboratory, radiology and pharmacy also 24 hours, 7 days each week.
As a department we are proud of our team of qualified and dedicated Doctors and Nurses who are trained in Emergency Care and have skills in Advanced Trauma and Cardiac Life Support. The team realises that theirs are perishable skills, and that is why some time is spent each week in doing Continuous Medical and Nursing Education (CME/CNE) to ensure that the skill are retained and are evidence based, in keeping with professional development.
